Wood Worm
A number of insects, mainly beetles are able to use wood as a food source and some of them can cause serious structural damage to building timbers particularly floor joists, roof timbers and staircases.
Wood-boring insect damage in a property may vary from widespread to a highly localised attack. A thorough inspection by TVP will identify the species of insect and establish the extent and severity of the attack and whether it is still active. We will then be able to recommend the correct treatment.

House Longhorn Beetle-(Hylotrupes bajulus)

Wood Boring Weevils-(Euophryum confine)
These habitat soft and hardwoods in damp conditions, such as poor ventilated ground floors, cellars and wood in contact with damp solid floors. No insecticidal treatment required once source of dampness eradicated and sound timbers have been dried out. |
